I'm not sure if it's so much the best live performance I've ever seen so much as one of the best-produced live performance /videos/ I've ever seen. Overall, I've been at many concerts with a better vibe between the audience and the stage, and if you want to see really awesome stage design there's hands-down no competition to the Pink Floyd concerts back in the day (go find a copy of and watch Pulse). On the other hand, in the Muse video the Technocrane work was without peer, the post-processing and color grading (the "look" of the colors) was excellent, and the stage superbly lit and designed for video.

oh I totally and wholeheartedly agree. When I saw this for the first time, I was amazed. This really is one of the best live performances there is.
It's absolutely terrible that I associate songs with Guitar Hero III rather than the actual band.
