Let's Play A Game

So, you think you'd make a good freshman guy at MIT? While MIT always argues about "The Match" and how you need to be right for MIT, I've come up with a simple test.

I will attempt to initiate a conversation with you in the same manner that I would attempt to initiate a conversation with a freshman guy here at MIT. If you respond correctly then you know that you'll fit in.

Please respond in the comments, I'll post the results shortly.

Ready? Here we go.

[I approach you as I walk down the street. I come up to you and speak the following:]

"Math."

What do you respond with?

I'd say I don't have time for this...I'm busy studying for my differentials (or physics or [fill in the blank]) test!!!

I'd say "w00t!" :)

As of today, I'd comment with "Yeah, I know-only six more days until pi day!"

After pi day, I'd probably say, "Depends- 18.01 looks interesting, but I'd like some hardcore chaos theory".

I guess I would answered math, because of a post I read from you once. but if I had not read it, I would have answered "THIS IS SPARTA!" or some derivative including MIT. ^^

Right, if you said "math" to me, I'd probably say something like,

"I hate you and everything, but more than that, I hate differential equations."

that's good shit

Nice guys.

The answer is "Math."

I would then reply with "LOL" and we would be friends.
