Got a letter from MIT today in the mail. It was very nice, a snowflake card signed by all the admissions staff. Signed, not copied digitally. Awww. . . they really go to great lengths to make ya feel welcome. I'm not sure any of the other colleges I was going to apply to would have done stuff like this. Something I didn't mention earlier is that every official admissions decision letter has a hand-written note at the bottom from an admissions person. They're really into making the admissions process personal, it's very nice. Kudos MIT!
